Israel Fausto Martínez follows since some years back in his career a very intense and regular pedagogical activity. Under the guidance of prestigious mentors like María de Macedo in Madrid or Janos Starker and Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi in Indiana University, he has received regularly also masterclasses by internationally reckoned artists such as Mtislav Rostropovich, Bernard Greenhouse or Gÿorgy Sëbok, among others. The transmission of their legacy is a sincere vocation for the future generations of young cellists.
Since 2003 he is Professor in Cello in the Superior Conservatory “Manuel Castillo” of Seville, and is one of the most sought after pedagogues in Conservatories and Universities in Spain. He holds regularly masterclasses and music courses in different institutions and festival. Invited to take part as jury in a great number of national and international competitions, he collaborates with several publications and music magazines with articles based on pedagogy or featuring the cello.
